How made-to-order works
Most pieces are made after you order, in your stone, metal and size, and arrive in about 4 weeks. You see the arrival date on the product page before you buy, and you can change the size, metal or engraving until it goes into production.
Why we make it after you order
A ring made for you is made in your size with the stone and metal you picked, so we never sell you the closest thing on a shelf and resize it. It also means we do not carry a case of stock that has to be paid for by the prices. The trade is time: about 4 weeks instead of 2 days.
The timeline
- Day 0: you orderCheckout confirms the piece, the options and the arrival date. You get an order link by email.
- The first days: the change windowReply to the confirmation or use the contact page to change the size, metal or engraving. Once the piece is in production, changes stop.
- Weeks 1 to 3: madeThe band is cast in your metal, the stone is set, the piece is polished and, for white gold, plated. Engraving is done last.
- Week 4: checkedWe check the stone seat, every prong, the size against a mandrel, the finish and the engraving, then box it.
- Then shippedInsured, tracked, signature on delivery. The order link shows the tracking number.

What we check before it ships
- Stone seated level and tight, no movement under a fingernail.
- Every prong tip rounded and closed.
- Size on a mandrel, within a quarter size.
- Finish: no pits, tool marks or dull spots. Plating even on white gold.
- Engraving spelled as you typed it.
Tracking and signature
Your order link shows each step above as it happens and the tracking number once it ships. The carrier needs a signature; if nobody is home, they leave a notice to reschedule or collect it at a nearby location. You can also choose local pickup or hand delivery in your bag before you check out.

Questions
Why does it take 4 weeks?
Casting, setting, polishing and plating take most of it, checks and insured shipping the rest. We would rather say 4 weeks and land early.
Can I get it faster?
In-stock pieces ship the next business day; look for the in-stock mark on the card. We do not sell a paid rush on made-to-order pieces because it would mean skipping checks.
Can I change the size after ordering?
Yes, free, until it goes into production. After delivery, exchange an unworn ring within 30 days, no restocking fee.
What if it arrives damaged?
Photograph the box and the piece and send us a note the same day. Every parcel is insured; we replace or refund.
